I've been an artist since the day I walked in my aunt's basement and witnessed my older cousin sketching, creating characters and lettering that I'd never seen before. This was in the late 80's and I've been in love with art ever since.
I made the choice to follow in my cousin's footsteps and attend Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts where I would become an art major. The art teachers there did a great job at helping me grow my artistic abilities. I was exposed to painting, drawing, printmaking, and so much more.
After my time at B.A.V.PA. I assumed that it would be very tough to make a living as an artist, so I decided to try a career in sales. I learned a lot but it was obvious that I didn't love what I was doing. You'd find me drawing during phone calls, meetings, lunch breaks; whenever pen and paper were near by I always creating something. I decided it was time to pursue an art career. It took me almost 10 years to admit that even though the money was good, I wasn't happy and I wouldn't be happy until I was using my artistic creativity on a daily basis.
I was introduced to graphic design from one of my mentors and made the decision to go back to school to obtain a degree. That decision, while financially tough, proved to be the right move. Since I graduated from Villa Maria college I've been blessed to work with and for some great companies.
My goal is to continue to develop as a creative through my professional experiences and to create visually appealing content that will encourage, motivate and/or simply evoke positive thoughts.
